Darker Nights Mean Cosy Writing
Posted on
The nights are drawing in, the weather is getting cold and my tan lines are a thing of the past. So, what does a writer do when the sunlight turns pale and the trees shed their leaves?
Pffft, do you even need to ask?
There’s nothing I like more than to sit at my desk, hot coffee to the left of me, notebook to the right and dig in. My finger ends are smoothing out, transferring my stories from mind to page, so if it doesn’t work out, I could consider a life of crime – Just kidding, keep your hair on
But there are stories a-cooking – The Archaic Races rewrites are coming along and I’ve written a cosy romance with no fantasy in sight. I know, it goes against the grain but I like it and it’s got just enough ‘spice’ to keep you all toasty in the chilly seasons.
Is that something you’d all enjoy? I really wanna know.
I like romance and I like fantasy and, of course, I adore romantasy. But I do love a romance in all its forms, so I gave it a go because apparently I haven’t got enough on with all the marketing and rewrites in the works.
Phew!
Anyway, I just wanted to touch base and thank all you gorgeous readers for your support.
